AC Group Overview for New Staff

The last Thursday of every month, our Director of Operations hosts a Zoom call to share what the AC Group is, and what we do. Intended for new staff, or those who have questions, or have not had an orientation to the Group, are welcomed to join in!

We want our new staff to know all about the AC Group and the programs and initiatives we offer to our member firms. Each month, on the last Thursday, our Director of Operations, Shirley Jollimore, will host a Zoom chat that will:


  • Introduce staff to the AC Group, our mission and values and governance structure
  • Our committees & forums, chairs and purpose of each
  • Ensure new staff are aware of the communications tools we use (website, employee portal, Mail Chimp)
  • Inform about the training programs we offer through the Group, including Conferences, regular technical training programs and some of the online, on-demand training available through the employee portal
  • Share how we support CPA students in their learning journey
  • Introduce new staff to one another, learn a bit about the experiences that have brought each of you to your current member firm, and what role you’ll play there
  • Help new staff understand they are part of a broad network of accounting expertise
